This is our story.Like many others we invested for the future, purchased some houses in prime locations at Port Augusta and rented them out to long term enants through a local agent. After a lot of consideration and onsulting friends and business associates the general census that Port Augusta needed a new upmarket motel and we had two houses side by side in a top location that we could demolish and build a motel. An architect was engaged and plans drawn up but the local council was not helpful so we scrapped the plans and spent the money elsewhere. We purchased brand new upmarket apartments in Adelaide and Surfers Paradise, engaged professionals agents and rented them out for holiday rental. These agents are still managing the same properties today we learnt heaps from them. In 2006 we started a process of transferring the Port Augusta properties into fully furnished houses. Many lessons were learnt over time – guest at different locations have different needs. At Port Augusta we have a mixed cliental of Tourists, Workers & Professionals.
